Will it fit my car?

If your car has a standard seatbelt buckle, yes. The tongue is the same shape as the one on your own seatbelt, so it clicks into any normal buckle. There is nothing to install.

Should I attach it to a collar or a harness?

A harness, always. Attached to a collar, a sudden stop puts the force straight onto your dog’s neck. A harness spreads it across the chest. If you do not have one yet, get one before you use this.

Is this a crash-tested safety device?

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. It is a restraint that keeps your dog in the back seat and out of the footwell and your lap, which removes a real driving distraction. It has not been crash tested and we make no claim about what it does in a collision.

How long does delivery take?

We ship within 1 to 3 business days, and delivery usually takes 7 to 20 business days, because it comes direct from our supplier rather than a warehouse near you. That is the honest window. If you need it tomorrow, buy it locally.

Will my dog chew through it?

It is woven nylon webbing, so a determined chewer with time and boredom can get through it, the same as any fabric lead. It is for the drive, not for leaving your dog attached and unattended.

How it works

Step 1

Clip it into the buckle

The metal tongue goes into your car’s existing seatbelt buckle, the same one a passenger would use. Nothing is installed, and nothing is left behind when you take it out.

Step 2

Clip the other end to a harness

The swivel snap attaches to the back ring of your dog’s harness. Use a harness rather than a collar, so any pull is spread across the chest instead of the neck.

Step 3

Set the length

Slide the adjuster until your dog can sit, stand and lie down but cannot reach the front. Most owners land somewhere in the middle of the 17 to 27 inch range.
